With almost 30 of experience in the financial services industry, Karen has served in various executive roles throughout her career in the credit union industry. In her role as CEO, she has guided the strategic direction, service delivery and operational efficiency of ACFCU to include field of membership expansion, development of mortgage and business services programs, and a focus on innovation and digital strategy. In her previous role as the organization's COO, she navigated the organization through significant change, including cultural transformation, branch expansion, development of a “Remarkable Service” strategy and implementation of a project management culture.
Prior to coming to ACFCU, Karen held positions in Marketing, Retail Delivery and Operations at three Washington, DC area credit unions.
Karen holds a BSBA in International Business and Marketing, from American University's Kogod School of Business. She is resident of Arlington, and a 2013 graduate of Leadership Arlington’s Signature Program. She currently serves on the Board of Regents for the Leadership Center for Excellence and on the Board of Directors for the Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization.
