Purdue FCU seeks a dynamic and visionary CEO who will lead the organization into the future. The CEO will have a proven track record of fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and ensuring financial sustainability. Working closely with the board, the CEO will help to align and integrate the credit union’s core values into strategic initiatives that support their growth and community presence. The CEO will maintain a strong presence and leadership in the communities served by Purdue FCU, as well as build and nurture relationships with community leaders and organizations to enhance the credit union’s reputation and impact.

Championing a member-centric approach, the CEO will ensure that the credit union exceeds members’ expectations by delivering personalized and relevant services, cultivating genuine connections with members to understand their unique needs, and providing knowledge-based solutions. The CEO will develop and nurture talent within the organization, implementing programs and initiatives that support employee growth and drive future innovation and success. Below is a summary list of the skills and qualifications needed for this role.

Leadership Skills and Characteristics
Strong working knowledge in finance, derivatives, technology, Fintech, human resources, marketing, public relations, and information systems.
Cross-functional expertise and the ability to develop and lead a high-performing leadership team with competence in financial management, enterprise risk management, strategic use of technology (including Omni Channels), strategic credit and investment portfolio expertise, and strategic brand and marketing, which includes big-data analytics.
A visionary and a strategic thinker.
Ability to work effectively with regulators and examiners and thoughtfully and effectively manage risk.
A proven track record of employee development, succession planning, and mentoring expertise.
Demonstrated strategic planning, budget and capital allocation plans, and successful implementation.
Ability and competency as the ambassador of the credit union to align the external brand with the internal culture.
Experience in fulfilling, implementing, and following board-approved policies.
Demonstrated ability and proactive interest in developing industry relationships.
Strong goal orientation to design initiatives based upon the strategic plan and to produce results that exceed the credit union’s business plan metrics and ensure the best outcomes for our members.
Demonstrated superior oral and written communication abilities and skills. Must interact and speak professionally and comfortably in face-to-face, telephone, written, and e-mail environments with directors, regulators, auditors, legislators, trade associations, members, co-workers, and the public.
Highly developed decision-making skills. Must have demonstrated the ability to analyze and define problems/situations of varying complexities as well as to develop and apply appropriate solutions.
Ability to understand, communicate/explain, and apply regulations, credit union policies, and procedures.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Identify and lead the next phase of strategic planning priorities.
Enhance visibility and personal relationships in communities served.
Assure the credit union has the proper balance of capital and people resources.
Financial management: ensure our investment strategy is sound.
Create and lead a sound technology strategy (build, buy, partner) while building technology expertise in-house.
Streamline board meeting agendas, provide advance delivery, and identify areas where board input is needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
Executive or senior leadership experience in a financial institution equal in size and complexity relative to Purdue FCU.
10 to 15 years of proven leadership experience.
Demonstrated leadership of executive-level leaders.
Demonstration of ongoing learning and education and certifications relevant to a financial institution’s leadership.
