The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will be initiative-taking with an outgoing personality. This individual will have experience in developing marketing programs and possess a strong understanding of data and analytics. The ideal candidate should have a macro-level knowledge of business intelligence and be capable of building analytics. This Chief Marketing Officer is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategies and plans. The CMO will promote the Credit Union’s products, and services and oversee all aspects of Marketing, including market research, product development, advertising, public relations, and sales strategy.

The CMO is expected to lead, coach, and develop their team while fostering a culture of innovation within the marketing department, encouraging creative thinking and experimentation. This involves exploring innovative marketing channels, testing innovative campaign ideas, and leveraging emerging technologies.

This position is ideal for a strategic marketing leader who combines analytical thinking with the capacity to interpret data, strong communication skills to effectively convey marketing strategies, decision-making abilities to guide the team, adapt to market changes, and research skills to understand member behavior and market trends. These competencies will help the CMO spearhead successful marketing initiatives, drive growth, and enhance brand awareness to align with Valley Credit Union’s strategic plan. The ideal candidate will have a desire for career advancement and seek to play a key role in Valley Credit Union’s long-term succession planning.
