County Schools Federal Credit Union ($93M Ventura, CA) is seeking our next Chief Executive Officer. Our highly supportive Board of Directors is seeking a partner for collaboration in strategically guiding an impactful credit union forward. Our 14 employees operate in a close-knit culture, working together well to serve our nearly 5,000 members through two branches and digital channels. We have expanded our commitment to the community, creating an intentional outreach effort that better positions us for engagement and impact on the people we serve, and a growth-focused leader will carry us forward.

Ventura County is one of the fastest-growing regions in Southern California, offering a warm Mediterranean climate and wonderful quality of life along the ocean. A combination of family-owned businesses and high-tech enterprises contribute to a strong economy, while a location 63 miles northwest of Los Angeles and 30 miles south of Santa Barbara positions us with excellent access to major airports, entertainment, and natural resources.

The CEO of County Schools FCU will oversee all aspects of the credit union, making all major staffing and operational decisions consistent with Board-set policies and long-term strategic plans. A collaborative and open leader, the CEO will be people-first in everything. This includes a passion for making a difference in the financial well-being of our members and a true commitment to improving the careers and lives of our employees. Someone who enjoys collegial relationships where people work together (rather than for one another) will feel most at home at County Schools FCU. You should also bring a heart for service and a commitment to engaging and supporting those who may be the least served by traditional financial services providers as we commit to serving our entire community.

Experience leading teams has honed the proactive, transparent communication needed to guide our team forward. Passion for developing people and culture, with an understanding of best practices in human resources is key. Broad knowledge of credit union operations, products/ services that improve members’ lives, and the strategic planning process have prepared you to take on this role. A big appetite for learning and a desire to grow your career will make you the right fit for us.
