SeaComm Federal Credit Union ($792M, Massena, NY) is looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join its Senior Leadership Team as Vice President of Marketing and Communications, replacing a long tenure retiring VP. The successful candidate will provide staff direction, while fostering a culture of innovation within the marketing department. They will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all marketing and communication initiatives for the credit union, focusing on continued brand awareness and future development, enhancing online presence while, supporting a multi-brand marketing strategy.
Directly reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the key functions include, but are not limited to:
• Will be instrumental in building upon the credit union’s competitive position in all marketing (print and digital) and business development strategies, including analysis of competitive products and services, marketing initiatives with budgets, pricing and distribution.
• Develops, proposes for, and implements strategic plans designed to meet the short and long-term marketing and organizational objectives.
• Promotes the brand of the credit union. Oversees special events, including, but not limited to branch openings and the annual meeting.
• Creates a highly integrated communications plan to ensure a meaningful message for all products and services to members, at the right time and through multiple channels. This will be directed at external and internal stakeholders.
• Will ensure that all creatives that have a significant impact on the credit union brand meet the highest of standards.
• Leads a management team, which develops and ensures an integrated strategy that tells the credit union story and value proposition in a way that is engaging to the membership as well as staff. Provides short and long-term goals and objectives for the marketing team.
• As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the selected candidate will participate in ongoing strategic discussions, succession planning, develop and manage the annual budget for the department, create and follow an approved marketing business plan and serve on various committees as needed.
• Responsible for compilation of member opinions and need through various avenues such as surveys and focus groups; completes and analyzes reports on a regular basis concerning marketing issues.
• Hires, schedules, trains and monitors the work of direct reports. Conducts performance reviews and allocates resources to meet department operational needs.
• Participates in governmental affair events, along with professional development activities.
• Travel as required.
The ideal candidate with a passion for the industry, will have a minimum of eight to ten years of experience in a similar senior management or related role. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.

Base compensation range: $120,000-$165,000. Annual incentive available. An attractive benefits package is offered, as well as an excellent working environment. Actual starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable laws.
