Our next Vice President will join a seasoned team of executives dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence through leading by example. They will actively build and maintain a robust, healthy work environment that promotes employee satisfaction and loyalty among our members. Reporting to the President, the Vice President will be responsible for innovatively directing the Marketing and Growth Strategy Departments to perform at the highest level to support Sun East’s mission and vision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and execute enterprise brand equity, membership expansion, product growth, marketing and communication strategies that are aligned with the credit union’s mission and strategic goals.
Craft and execute a comprehensive brand strategy encompassing the organization’s values, mission, and vision. Ensure that this strategy is effectively communicated and maintained across all platforms.
Lead product development by developing, designing, and implementing product strategies for the entire product portfolio.
Prepare and implement the Credit Union’s Marketing Plan in coordination with the overall Strategic Plan and growth goals.
Undertake market research studies and data collection and management and analyze results to better understand the market and member preferences and experience.
Utilize Member Relationship Management software to analyze member behaviors and life cycle data, extracting actionable insights to personalize member experiences, enhance engagement strategies, and improve retention rates.
Regularly analyze the performance of marketing campaigns against key performance indicators such as return on investment (ROI), conversion rates, member acquisition costs, and engagement metrics across different channels.
Develop and execute holistic digital marketing, social media, content marketing, and online advertising to drive awareness, engagement, and conversions, including the research and resolution of negative organizational comments.
Direct the organization’s social media strategy, ensuring active and engaging presence across relevant platforms, and leveraging the channels for brand building and member engagement.
Ensure consistent messaging to both internal and external communities, including the development of collateral design, merchandising, campaigns, communication management, and advertising messaging via multimedia channels.
Responsible for website management, including:
Enhance website product mix to maximize the site’s usage, cross-selling, and e-commerce potential.
Manage the relationship between Credit Union and web vendors to ensure an effective website.
Review and recommend adding, deleting, and modifying web services and design layout.
Proactively monitor and analyze website activity reports.
Maintain effective communications so that staff are adequately informed of website products and services.
Develop and manage the Credit Union’s Marketing and Business Development budgets; maintaining control over expenditures versus budget items.
Responsible for assuring that all marketing promotions and strategies are coordinated with the Credit Union’s Asset/Liability Management Plan.
Responsible for the image of branches and facilities from a brand/Marketing standpoint.
Guides and advises Marketing and Business Development personnel in the more complex phases of their work.
Participate in planning sessions and budget development.
Represent the credit union at various community events and associations.
Responsible for compensation, performance reviews, training and development, productivity, and morale of staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business administration, or related field.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing, focused on strategic planning and enterprise communications in the credit union or banking industry.
A minimum of 5 years prior management experience required.
Solid knowledge of state-of-the-art marketing, customer experience, brand, product, and service management theory, practices, techniques, and methodology, including changing market dynamics and consumer preferences.
Knowledge of economic and market trends, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Advanced knowledge of market research and data analysis methods.
Strong knowledge of principles and practices relating to strategic planning.
Ability to translate research and data into marketing and member experience strategies that drive growth and profitability.
Knowledge of Credit Union philosophy, history, services, and practices.
Strong understanding and proficiency of traditional and online marketing strategies, tools, and methodologies.
A track record of community service and involvement in the community.
