Reaching Your Next Summit: 5 Vertical Lessons to Lead in the Unknown, Regardless of Your Title
Professionals often struggle to deliver more value under tightening business constraints and rising expectations. Add the complications of regulations, engaging a multi-generational work force, constantly evolving technology, economic pressure, plus the chaos of day to day life; and you have a serious challenge. Oh, and not to mention the challenge of surviving a global pandemic!

Innovation Mindset
Are you a fast driver who gets on a clear path, sees the goal, and gets to their destination quickly? Or are you the one who’s perfectly comfortable aimlessly wandering without a clear path or even goal?
No matter which side you fall on—or even if it’s somewhere in between—Tanya will share how these mindsets can work together to achieve goals.
Humans are pattern-forming creatures—a skill that allows us to predict the future and survive. However, it is also a mindset that is a barrier to innovation. We rapidly find the pattern (often the first thing that comes to mind), engage in a confirmatory path to collect information, and go.
We’ll discover how to create a different mindset, by seeing multiple patterns at the same time in an exploratory process. We’ll also engage in activities that put the mind on a very different channel—opening up and exploring in a way that’s exciting and inspiring.
We’ll also measure how people vary in a simple personal difference—the need for structure. There’s much diversity on this in teams, and it creates conflict, especially as we balance creative exploration with closure and action. You’ll walk away from this session knowing how to make it all work for your team.

Challenge of Change
Drawing from personal experience, Joe Theismann knows how to deal with the Challenge of Change. On November 18, 1985, he was on top of his game—a two-time Pro Bowl player and the most productive quarterback in the history of the Washington Redskins. Later that evening, he found himself in a hospital bed with a compound fracture to his leg, shattering both his career and his boyhood dream. At age thirty-five, he was faced with starting over his personal life and professional career. In this stirring presentation, individuals and organizations learn how to tackle change by keeping a positive mental outlook and committing to a vision that guides you to the top.
